Hi, my name is Ruby Reyna. I’ll tell you what it was like to first come in this classroom, I felt really scared because I felt that I wasn’t going to know anybody. Eventually I made friends. So I’ll tell you why I chose the mural. I chose to do the Mural project because it sounded pretty interesting. I’m the kind of person that likes to be creative; I don’t like to be a boring person and do boring stuff.  I had never come to camp enrichment, and as my first time I decided to pick The Mural Project for my second choice. It sounds pretty interesting, and I’m 100% sure I’m going to have FUN!!! June 14, 2006         So as I told you in my entry, I was really scared to come in the classroom, I really was nervous. The first thing we did was go into the computer and learn a little bit more about a famous artist named  “Keith Haring” I thought that he was very interesting. After that we got ready to go paint. The color we were going to get ready to paint was the color red. We started to paint every thing that was supposed to be the color red. I painted a little kid holding a paintbrush. It wasn’t really that hard, it was really fun. I can’t wait to see what I’m going to do tomorrow! June 15, 2006         Today happened an awful thing, it started raining! We were very disappointed, and because of the rain we couldn’t paint outside. Instead of going outside and painting we tried to do something inside. Instead we traced all the drawing on big pieces of brown paper. We colored the things that were brown, red, green, and we started on color skin tones. The rain ruined our day but it was still very fun! June 16, 2006         Today was a great day! It was suppose to rain, but I’m glad it didn’t! Today was really fun. Every time a class would go outside, they would tell us a compliment on our Mural project. They would say it was turning out great. That is true because it looks really beautiful. Today we got a lot done. We re-touched the red and started on the skin tone colors. Mr. Auch Meody and Miss. Hergot started on the color blue. We also started painting the wall white so the places that people messed up on wouldn’t show. Today was a great day and as I said, we got a lot done! June 19, 2006          Wow, today was a really hot day! At first I didn’t really want to get started because of the hotness. I picked the color white to get started. I wasn’t even started when I was already sweating. I couldn’t wait until our brake. We got a lot done. I really can’t wait until it is done. I wonder how it will look. Today I heard that Sally from India is keeping up with our mural project. I really hope she keeps on doing that! I wonder if other people from other places also are reading our mural project. It is really interesting! June 20, 2006       Oh, my gosh how sad! Today is the last day of the mural project for me! I wished I stayed here until the wall was finished. I really want to see how it is going to turn out at the end. I hope next weeks kids really do a good job but first of all, I hope they really have fun. I know I really had a lot of fun! Well I’ll tell you a little about my sad last day here. Today I was kind of tired but I still had energy to do my best on the wall. We put finishing touches on the wall. As yesterday I started on white again. I also painted stuff that was black. Well this was a lot fun. I hope to do a project like this again
