One More River
Story Synopsis
Lesley's father had a big surprise for her. They were moving from an up scale home in Canada to the Kibbutz Kfar Orde along the Jordan River in Israel. Her life is turned upside down by this dramatic change in living conditions. This is not the only problem Lesley has to deal with in her life. Her brother, Noah, married a Catholic girl and now Lesley's father refuses to speak with her brother. Can things get worse?
One More River is a story about a family moving to a new land in order to gain a better understanding of their culture and religion. Lesley is about to learn more about life than she expected. Lesley's family arrives just before the Six-Day War in 1967. Lesley finds strength that she did not know she had. Through the crisis of the Six-Day War, Lesley's family will learn more about love and tolerance.
